Contact Lens Cases

Anyone who owns contact lenses knows the importance of keeping your contact lenses cases safe when they are not being worn. As with glasses, having the correct contact lens cases is particularly important if you travel a lot or need to have your contact lenses in solution for a long period of time.

Daily disposable lenses do not really require contact lens cases as they should be worn once only and then disposed of. However, the recent trend in color and theatrical contact lenses that can be saved and re-used has meant that contact lens cases have taken on a new lease of life!

Review and compare different types of contact lens cases

Contact lens cases used to be pretty boring and uninspired. They were grey and inflexible; contact lens cases were certainly not a fashion statement!

Contemporary contact lens cases come in a wide range of cute shapes, sizes and colors. For example, there are smaller, see-through contact lens cases that allow you to see which contact lenses you are selecting; this is the perfect solution if you have a wide range of lens cases!

There is a growing trend for contact lens cases that make a style statement. It is possible, for example, to buy cases with pictures on the front, or if you want to be a little more individual, you can get your own picture placed on your lens case.

Maintaining contact lens cases

Whilst contact lens cases are fun, it is important to remember that they also serve a very important function. Lens cases must be cleaned regularly, ideally with contact lens solution. If your lens cases appear to be damaged or chipped in anyway, they should be replaced immediately, no matter how much you like the design!

Go on – get creative with your lens cases!
